So I guess I'm not really on my days because I got to think about this over and over and I seriously need to express myself. I'm sorry if I'm being rude or even if I'm overeacting on this matter.
I was
deviantarting and all, and as you may know, I've grown founder with photography even though I always loved this kind of art.
I think most of all might think like me about artists "selling their souls" just to sell their art. I mean, many quit doing what they actually believe in so they can do commercial art: what sells. So, what does sell nowadays? Or even, what always sold? Sex, poverty, disgrace, home design...etc etc. I was actually discussing this with ~
Lady-CaT, but this isn't my point (only).
Photojournalism has been growing and growing, and I think this is quite amazing and it's a really great way of letting us know what's happening around the world, the same world where we're living in, by the eyes of the others. But, I just want to ask one simple thing: why do poeple show the work, and now I'm talking about photographies that shows poverty, war, weather issues, homeless people..., and they're like "Omg look at all of this! Omg I can't believe this happens everyday!
Omg what a great shot!" and the artist says thank you and shares the same opinion as the viewer. Now, back to my untold question: does at least, 60% of these artists, do anything and I mean
anything to help? Or they just think "ah what a great shot this will be" and just go on with their lifes? There are so many people who just don't do anything. I'm not talking about anyone in particular here, just in general, and this is a "head's up" for me also.
Do we stop and think? It isn't that hard to change something if we're all up to it...
Again, sorry about this.
Featurings!!
